I think his is a very short story book but has a good content for them who love the military adventure.The author was also able to capture attention and read all throughout the 6 chapters in the book.
Arnold Clarke wrote a wonderful story about a realistic military adventure though their mission seems at first hopeless, Cpl. Isaac and Lt. Chapman offer their lives in service of their country. They don’t have much hope for their mission or their survival but they know they must keep fighting for the folks back home. If their actions keep hope in the hearts of others, they’re willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. It’s a great writing and inspiring one.

This is an informative book on realistic military adventure. The story is very fantastic. The author did a good job by writing this book. I got an idea about many unknown things from this book. All chapters are very fantastic to read and to know about the military.
I like how the author plot the story, it is very engaging especially Corporal Isaac character. The struggle that he went through in fighting was well written, you can literally imagine as if you were part of the story fighting. The ending is sad but knowing that Isaac fought until his last breath made him a hero.
You can easily understand that this is an enthralling and full of suspense novel from the first page you will read. Arnold Clarke wrote a wonderful story about a realistic military adventure where Cpl. Isaac and Lt. Chapman fight to win in a hopeless and deadly mission. They don’t have another choice; they must keep fighting for their family. I hope that you enjoyed reading it as I did. I supremely recommend it!
Haven’t read anything like this before, so the experience was very refreshing to me. Short but an engaging read. Arnold Clarke was able to paint a realistic setting for the lead character’s dangerous - and brave - mission to break through enemy lines. The vivid descriptions made me feel like I was just beside Corporal Isaac, crawling through the trenches, and my heart was pounding all the way to the end. Half an hour well spent!
Greatly refreshing to read a book like this. I am usually a romance reader and I also usually don’t go for short books, but I thought I should just try out some books in other genres. This one really had me addicted to it full time. I definitely don’t want to give away any sort of spoiler, so all I’m gonna say is this book was tremendously worth reading. I think for me what worked out was the new and unfamiliar atmosphere of the book, as opposed to the familiar romancy, lovey-dovey ones.
I just fell in love with this book! I get lost inside the world of war where Isaac was in. There are a lot of breathtaking scenes that would really keep you on the edge of your seat. I found myself in an emotional turmoil as the words gave life to the characters, revealing how a soldier feels during a battle. Fear, anxiety, anger, hope, love, compassion and maybe contentment in finding the essence of what their life is for. Home can sometimes be a very complicated word. Nonetheless, this book might make you look inside yourself for its true meaning and find your peace. Must grab!
The story of Corporal Isaac and his battle in the trenches. This book was very well written. It definitely kept me reading. I would have thought for sure he was going to kill the soldier boy or torture him. But he did not, showing everyone what kind of man he was and definitely showing them that they were much better than torture. Isaac went through a lot even his comrades thought he was dead in the end, while he was still surviving in the trenches hiding around the dirt and under bodies. I do not want to spoil the end for those who have not read. If you are looking for a war time story, then I recommend this one to you.
