astonishing writer - this isn't my favorite series of hers but i did like this 3rd book much better than the 2nd. First book in series, Wild Seed, is one of the best books i've ever read. Just wish butler hadn't left this world already so we could look forward to more amazing novels. No one shows the horrors of slavery, especially mental and emotional servitude, like she did.Product details

Still haven't been able to put this series down. Curious if it all wraps together somehow. Well see, I guess!
This one was ok. I wasn't crazy about the story but it had its perks I suppose. It just threw me off with the patternist theme
This book was eery, frightening and wonderful to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Once I picked it up and began reading I couldn't stop until I finished it. Can't wait to read the prequels and the sequel. Only wish I had read them in order!
If you have come across this book, it probably means that you are a fan of Octavia Butler's. This book is good and its worth reading. I have found out that its not necessary to read all of the PaternMaster books (4) in their order. It truly makes no difference because the books are so well written; each story stands on its own. My only complaint is that I wish there were more books written by her!
"Seed to Harvest" has all three books for the price of one. I wish I would've realized, I bought all 4 /
I enjoyed this novel as I have the first two in the series. I love Butler's novels and she's great at spinning dystopian tales. I'm looking forward to book four in this series!
